The Anglesea River weaves through the town and is a calm waterway perfect for paddling and other activities like river boating. Visitors come to the Anglesea River for fishing along one of the platforms. Be sure to visit on a Sunday and check out the Riverbank Markets, where you can browse a range of items from the many stallholders.

Anglesea Beach is ideal for the whole family, as it is safe for swimming and has gentle waves suitable for new surfers and boogie boarders. Sit back and relax on the golden sand while the kids build sandcastles or splash in the water.

Wildlife
Wildlife is home to a diverse range of Aussie wildlife, giving you the chance to spot some of our favourite animals! You can see local kangaroos at the Anglesea Golf Club or go birdwatching. There are over 100 different species of native birds here, including rosellas, honeyeaters, and king parrots. Between May and September, you might also have the opportunity to watch whales migrating along the coastline.
