There are many charming towns nestled along the glorious Great Ocean Road, but none are so popular as the beloved Lorne. Home to a stunning beach front, historic buildings, and friendly locals, Lorne truly one of the best holiday spots along the Great Ocean Road, listed as one of top towns around. Still not convinced?   • Live Wire Park

    For an adrenaline inducing adventure, head to the most electrifying adventure park around! Seeing the beauty of the Great Ocean Road whilst zip lining, roller coasting, climbing, and exploring the thick bushland. Live Wire Park is an elevated, experience that reconnects visitors to the thick trees and local native wildlife as they enjoy the fun and sometimes petrifying activities. Home to the Shockwave Zip Coaster, which is listed as the country’s most extreme zip line, as well as a series of epic ropes courses and treetop canopy circuits. Both you and your kids will get a kick out of this extraordinary adventure!

  • Split Point Lighthouse

    For a bit of history during your Great Ocean Road trip, head to the Great Otway National Park and see this picturesque hamlet, home to the famous Split Point Lighthouse. Only 20 minutes’ drive from Lorne, the Lighthouse creates a unique scenery for the region, featured in many of the area’s advertisements and postcards. It is famous throughout Australia, appearing in one of the most popular television series in the 90s. It boasts beautiful sights of the nearby beaches and spectacular walking trails.

  • Erskine Falls

    Not a fan of the beach? Why not head into the lush rainforest of the region and visit Lorne’s nearby Erskine Falls. Walk just five minutes from the car park to the upper lookout of the waterfall, offering stunning scenery of the bushland and the majestic 30-metre falls. Otherwise you can head to the lower lookout point by strolling down 240 steps to the base. Even picking up some sweat as you head along 7.5km Erskine River Track to other nearby waterfalls including the Straw Falls and Splitter Falls that will simply take your breath away.

  • Lorne Beach

    One of the town’s best draw cards is the Lorne Beach, listed as one of the finest main beaches in all the Great Ocean Road. Stretching out 1.2km along the foreshore, only seconds away from the town centre. It is the perfect place to spend a summer’s day at, being a safe and daily patrolled beach all year round. Facilities include ample free parking, toilet and shower blocks, with even a couple picnic areas with available barbeques. If you are knackered from jumping the waves, you can even head to the nearby rock pools and discover some of the small marine life found within.

  • Lorne Sea Baths

    Located on the edge of the beach, this attraction has been apart of the town for years. Offering a range of top quality facilities, including a gym, pool, Hydrobaths, and even a steam room. By far the most popular however is the trampolines, with are all outdoor and always covered with both tourist and local children.
